Brand, Editorial & Client Work

At Catalina Foothills City Lifestyle Magazine, I support editorial, client, and promotional projects in a fast paced publication environment. My work includes interviewing clients and gathering information for stories, writing and editing editorial content, assisting with advertisement design, and helping coordinate projects across teams to meet deadlines. The experience is strengthening my communication, organization, and client-facing skills while giving me hands on exposure to how editorial, advertising, and marketing efforts come together. Here’s a look at what I’ve contributed so far.

Catalina Foothills City Lifestyle Magazine Internship

Made in the Desert

- Inside Tucson’s Collaborative Film Community

By: Skyler French

For the feature on Elizabeth von Isser, a local actress and filmmaker, I worked through the process of turning interview notes and background information into a story that felt clear, engaging, and true to her experience. I focused on pulling out the strongest parts of her perspective on filmmaking in Tucson, organizing the details in a way that flowed well, and shaping the piece for the magazine’s audience. Working on that story from beginning to end helped me get better at taking raw interview material and turning it into a polished feature under a strict deadline.

Investing in Your Kitchen

For “Investing in Your Kitchen” by Jeff Herr, I supported the editorial process by coordinating with Canyon Cabinetry and Design to help clarify research on kitchen remodeling trends and bring in their local perspective on what they were seeing in Tucson projects. That process involved organizing input on homeowner priorities, design preferences, and remodeling realities so the story felt both informative and locally grounded. Working on the piece gave me more experience helping shape editorial content through research, client communication, and cross team coordination.
